What to expect
- Start by embarking on a trip to Mexico City’s North Bus Station.
- Take a public bus to San Juan de las Piramides, home to the famous Teotihuacan Pyramids.
- Meet your local, expert guide and embark on a 1.5-2 hour long tour of the Teotihuacan Pyramids.
- Visit a family-run obsidian workshop that’s been operating for generations. You’ll taste an array of homemade products like salsa macha, marmalades, pulque (an agave fermentation), mezcal, tequila, and much more.
- Hungry? Don’t stress! You’ll be treated to an authentic homemade lunch at a local’s house. You’ll sample tlacoyos, vegan (or vegetarian) tlacoyos, enchiladas, arroz and sopa de tortilla.
- Go back to Mexico City on a public bus. Once in the city, you’ll be dropped off by your guide
Why choose our Teotihuacan tour?
- This is not only a Teotihuacan tour— it is an experience crafted for you to make real connections with the local community. You’ll be directly supporting local guides, family-run establishments, and generational businesses.
- Public transportation. We will travel on public transport everywhere, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. We combine public buses, metrobus, and walking on this adventure. It’s much more fun than a tourist van, anyway!
- Taste authentic, traditional, homemade Mexican food— all vegan and vegetarian.
