About the tour

Ready to dive into the vibrant flavors and rich culture of Mexico City? Join us on a 3-4 hour guided tour through two of the most iconic Mexican markets: Mercado Abelardo Rodriguez and Mercado de Jamaica. The first market is truly a hidden gem which is both museum and tianguis--- the whole inside of this market is covered in post-revolution murals that show the fight and struggle of the Mexican working class. Mercado de Jamaica is famous for its huge array of flowers and delicious food!

Meet your guide outside of Cafe de Tacuba in Centro Histórico, one of the most famous (and oldest!) cafes in the city. Finish in Mercado de Jamaica where you can choose to continue exploring or head back to your hotel.

What to expect

On this unique tour, you'll savor traditional Mexican dishes like quesadillas, tamales (veggie only and subject to availability), atole (veggie only) and some delicious coctel de frutas. You will also have the opportunity to taste an arrange of mole pastes and, to make it even more fun, try your hand at making an authentic Mexican salsa or learn how to make a huarache.
